Winchell Cove 10k/10mile Trail Run follows a great route along the shore of Millerton Lake around Mckenzie Point and into Winchell Cove. The 10k course is great for those looking to explore trailrunning for the first time, it has minimal elevation change (hills) and stunning views from the single track trail. The 10 mile route takes you further into and around Winchell Cove with a couple good hills along the way. The 10k is walker friendly. The course is out and back.

About the birthday boy:
Miles Alexander started running cross country at Maple Creek Elementary in the 4th grade. He continued through his 8th grade year at Granite Ridge Intermediate where he competed at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational. Miles is now a part of the Bad News Bears Running team and occasionally participates or volunteers at local races. This year, he completed his first half marathon.
Miles has one younger brother, a mom and dad, and 2 dogs. His other passions include drawing, singing, performing magic, and skateboarding. He is a native of Fresno and likes giving back to his community. Since he absolutely enjoys running and working with kids he came up with the idea to hold his first birthday race back in 2012 with the help of his running team. He’s donated about $5,000 to the Poverello House.
Dress in your favorite football fanatic attire or as your favorite player and run through the park catching footballs at the last 50 yards of the race. The first 20 to cross will receive medals. All proceeds go towards Kastner PTC/ Academics/Arts and Athletics.
