As Get Fit Clovis gets set to kick off its fourth 90-day fitness campaign, it encourages the public to come out and be part of its movement aimed toward helping others live a healthy and active lifestyle.
This season’s campaign, centered around family fitness, offers free workouts and nutritional workshops every Saturday morning at local parks, trails, gyms and fitness studios.
“I’m excited to challenge families to practice being more active together,” said GFC founder Caitie Reeg. “I’m looking forward to seeing more parents and kids at the meet ups. The spring challenge will also serve as a great opportunity to renew your New Year Resolution for those of us who have slipped up or lost track of the goals we started the year with.”
Get Fit offers workouts like cardio and weightlifting and even fun, unique exercises like dance. GFC also offers lighter workouts like yoga sessions during the first meet of every month led by Fulton Yoga Collective at Cultural Arts District Park in downtown Fresno.
During the workshops, participants are introduced to new and creative ideas on how to eat healthy. Past meets have included workshops with local nutrition experts on how to make infused waters, healthy snacking and the importance of electrolytes.
