ATTENTION RUNNERS! Meet here by 6AM to go for a 3-6 MI PRE-EVENT RUN starting at the park and going along the Enterprise Trail behind Clovis Community Hospital.
Bring your canine companion to Sierra Meadows Park in Clovis (next to Miss Winkles!) and join us for a Get Fit Clovis special meet featuring getting fit with your dogs! Bring your chubby puppies and fit fido’s and let them try the doggie obstacle course courtesy of Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center. Laurie Fenster of Clovis Pet Hospital will be speaking to attendees about keeping your pets healthy this summer. Each participant will be added to a drawing for a chance to win the Get Fit Clovis special raffle prize, and each canine participant will receive a special gift provided by Petco! All dogs must be on a leash.
OUR SPECIAL GUESTS: Undoubted Training; Clovis Sprouts Farmers Market nutritionist Germain Galvez, CIHC
This Saturday (June 18) is our next meet up date! We’ll be at Railroad Park in Clovis (the NE corner of Peach & Alluvial Avenue). Our running group meets at 6AM for a 4 to 5 mile pre-run, this one will go along the Clovis Old Town Trail. At 7AM, we welcome everyone to sign-in and get a punch added to their punch cards (all prizes will be given at our finale event Party in the Park at Sierra Vista Mall on August 27). At 7:15, Sprouts nutritionist Germain will talk about healthy eating. Then at 7:25, Ruben Rodriguez of Undoubted Training will lead us through a workout, and those feeling up to it can join our group in a 3-mile walk/run. Be sure not to wander off after our walk, because as always snacks and refreshments are provided by Sprouts here in Clovis!
This is going to be a blast, and you’d be crazy to skip it! Come join us and learn about health and fitness as well as bond with other people in the community.
This Saturday, June 25th, we will be hosting our “Get Fit” Sierra Vista Mall Walk. It will begin at 8am in our lobby for warm-up stretches with Miles Petersen. He is personal trainer certified and N.A.S.M. certified. We will then walk to Sierra Vista Mall and back. Jamba Juice will be providing smoothies to enjoy after they finish their walk.
